ADF&G: Good news for Southeast deer

SITKA, ALASKA The State Department of Fish and Game is conducting its annual spring deer surveys in Northern Southeast Alaska. And at this point, large numbers of healthy yearlings indicate the region’s deer population may be bouncing back from a couple of hard winters.
This afternoon (10-31-14), the National Weather Service aired a special marine warning. A local pilot spotted a waterspout off Middle Island near Sitka, moving north and seven miles due west of the airport. more
