Federal funding, transportation critical to tribal health care

SITKA, ALASKA The Southeast Alaska Regional Health Consortium hopes the coming change in the nation’s administration will improve the funding picture for tribal health care.
SEARHC CEO Roald Helgesen outlined the consortium’s mission, successes, and challenges in a presentation to the Sitka Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday (11-19-08).

Sitka transitions cruise ship dock to ‘super-yacht facility’

The 165' motor yacht Rebel at the O'Connell Bridge Lightering Dock. Passengers from the cruise ship Silver Shado will lighter this weekend (Sat 7-2-16) to Crescent Harbor, so that super-yachts like the Rebel can moor here.
