Historical painting found at Sitka Museum

SITKA, ALASKA A painting dating back to 1879 has caused a stir at the Sitka Historical Society and Museum. The painting of the USS Jamestown with Sitka in the background may potentially be one of the first oil paintings of Sitka from the post-transfer era.
