Mt. Edgecumbe fools’ hoax marks 35th anniversary

SITKA, ALASKA While a real volcano is causing headaches for air travelers in Anchorage lately, thirty-five years ago Porky Bickar's staged “eruption” of Mt. Edgecumbe put Sitka on the list of all-time April Fools’ hoaxes.
