Proposed changes to Sitka sales tax code will get second (of three) readings tonight, during the regular meeting of the Assembly. The Sitka Assembly on Tuesday night authorized a $180,000 design contract. The full project, which will replace the 40-year-old transient float in Thomsen Harbor, is expected to cost about $6-million and be completed by March 2016. more
