The Alaska Department of Fish & Game mapped 17.4 nautical miles of active herring spawn during aerial surveys on Monday April 2, 2012.
The fishing vessel Jade Ann will distribute herring eggs most afternoons during the spawn. The boat will be at the main float of Eliason Harbor at 2 PM this afternoon (Tue 4-3-12).
