Sitka resident Keith Nyitray was a contestant on NPR’s “Wait Wait … Don’t Tell Me!” earlier this spring. The prize for winning contestants is the voice of longtime NPR newscaster Carl Kassel on a home voicemail or answering machine.
Keith won, and brought the CD of Carl’s voice by the station. Click below to listen as Keith hears the message for the first time.

GCI has completed its purchase of three television stations in Sitka, Juneau and Ketchikan. The deal means the telecom giant now owns almost every commercial TV station in Southeast Alaska. more
A new Soul/Funk/Motown show called "Powerful Love" will start this Sunday from 5-7 pm. Phil Horton will be mixing up a show each week that spans the decades of soul music. When asked where his love for soul began, he replied, "Ray Charles is the man. Everything derived from him has been stellar." more
