Now for veggies: Another “Garden Show” Top Ten

Mollie Kabler and Kitty LaBounty, hosts of KCAW’s Garden Show, did not stop at their favorite blooms. This week, Sitka’s greenest thumbs identified their Top Ten vegetables. Here’s the list.

1. Carrots
2. Potatoes
3. Broccoli
4. Lettuce
5. Kale
6. Mesclun (mixed greens)
7. Garlic
8. Joi choi (Chinese style cabbage like bok choy)
9. Cauliflower
10. Daikon radish
The negotiated extras that didn’t make the top 10: spinach, French sorrel, leeks.
