Scouting opens registration for 2012-2013

Rose MacIntyre and Paul Rioux discuss scouting in Sitka, and plans for a dual registration event 7-9 PM Wed Sep 12 at Harrigan Centennial Hall. They’re also looking for adult volunteers to serve as leaders and co-leaders.

Sitka lab issues shellfish advisory across Southeast

Shellfish in Southeast are showing a high risk for biotoxins, specifically those that cause PSP. On Monday (5-25-16), the Sitka Tribe of Alaska's Environmental Research Lab (STAERL) found elevated levels of toxins at beaches in Sitka, Petersburg, Klawock, and Craig. more

In a packed gym of beaming family and friends, seventy students became alumni of Sitka High School. Speeches were given. Selfies were taken. And while students and staff reflected on the journey ahead, many paid homage to their Sitka roots. more
