Stedman speaks to Sitka Chamber

State Sen. Bert Stedman, R-Sitka

State Sen. Bert Stedman made a pitch to keep his job to the Sitka Chamber of Commerce on Oct. 24. The Sitka Republican is co-chair of the Senate Finance Committee, and is locked in a race with fellow incumbent Sen. Albert Kookesh, D-Angoon.

The Chamber invited both, but Kookesh was unable to attend due to a scheduling error. Kookesh told KCAW he was able to make the Chamber’s original date for the event, but when the event moved, it conflicted with something else on his calendar.
