Pacific High’s Raven Natkong takes serious aim with fellow students Friday afternoon (11-16-12) in Archery class, at the Sitka Sportsmen’s Association archery range. Pacific High instructor Hillary Seeland is certified by the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP); she introduced the class as part of Pacific High’s P.E. program focusing on healthy, high-risk activities.

When the Sitka Assembly meets tonight (10-25-16), they’ll focus mostly on funding decisions: what to save, what to spend, and how. That includes a transfer to the Public Infrastructure Sinking Fund, which pays for city roads and sidewalks, and expenses related to the August 2015 landslide. more
