‘Choose Respect’ march set for Thursday

Sitka’s “Choose Respect” march is set for Thursday, March 28, from Totem Square to the Crescent Harbor shelter. State officials will be on hand, as will Sitkans, to take a stand against domestic violence and sexual assault. Martina Kurzer and Katie Davis talk about the statewide “Choose Respect” campaign.

From February 13 - February 15, 2015, music director Sarah Martensen brought students from Sitka High School to the NAfME Biennial Northwest Division Conference in Spokane, Washington. Annette Blankenship and Megan Pasternak of the Ocean Wave Quilters Guild talk about this year's quilt auction (3-3-15). This annual silent and outcry mini quilt auction supports college scholarships for Sitka students. So far, 20 miniature quilts and 5 large quilt tops are expected to be auctioned.
