Lady Wolves Softball on ‘our best season’

Sitka High Lady Wolves Softball just captured their fourth consecutive small schools state championship. Senior Stefania Potzruski played on all four teams. She’s joined by teammates Megan Reid, Hannah McCarty, and by assistant coach Kelly Garvin discussing their amazing season, and the dramatic finale at the state tourney.

High Wind Warning for Southeast on Friday

Due to Hurricane Oho, the National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning for coastal areas of Southeast Alaska, including Baranof Island, from 8 AM to 7 PM Friday, October 9. Forecasters say residents should expect sustained winds of 40 - 55 mph, with gusts to 75. more
