Sitka Summer Music Festival cellist Melissa Kraut says performers who choose her instrument are cool, and tend to get along well together. Kraut is on the faculty of the Cleveland Institute of Music. Glaciers: Beautiful, but also a ‘strong climate signal’

Allen Pope is a visiting glaciologist from Boulder, Colorado. He the Scientist-in-Residency Fellow at the Sitka Sound Science Center for the month of February. He'll be giving two public programs on glaciers: A Science Cafe, 5:30 PM Thu Feb 18 at the Sitka Sound Science Center, and a Natural History Seminar, 7:30 PM Thu Feb 25 at the University of Alaska Southeast, Sitka Campus.
