‘Art Shares’ light up camp this week

Sitka Fine Arts Camp instructors Paul Cox and W.T. McRae discuss this week’s “Art Shares,” or faculty performances. 7 PM each evening through July 5 at the Odess Theater in Allen Hall (no admission charge). Ferry fares rise for third time in a year

Assembly considers opening boats to tourists

On Tuesday night (4-26-16), the Assembly considered allowing rentals, on a conditional use basis, in Sitka’s municipal harbors and slips. They also received an update on branding for tourists and firmed up zoning laws for marijuana business. more
