Crossing swords: Workshop on stage combat for all ages

Ira Snelling talks about his upcoming stage combat workshop, to be held March 23 and 24 and sponsored by the Greater Sitka Arts Council. The workshop will be open to students from 5th grade up, including adults. The class will teach stage punches, grabs and throws, as well as sword play. Students will learn¬†“ways to do these that from one angle looks really dangerous and really believable, but actually is very, very safe,” Snelling said.
