The Sitka Wolves baseball team moved into the finals of the Region V Tournament with a 6-2 win over the Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears Friday evening (5-30-14). Senior Erikson Fish pitched a complete game for the Wolves, who will face either Juneau or Petersburg in the finals Saturday afternoon (5-31-14) at 3 PM. Should Sitka lose that game, the two teams will match up again at 6 PM, because of the double-elimination format.

The top two teams from Southeast will earn berths in the state high school baseball tournament, which opens at Sitka’s Moller Park next Thursday, June 5.
