From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, the third annual Panhandle Fly-In comes to Sitka’s Rocky Gutierrez Airport, organized by the Southeast Alaska Aviation Association (SEAKAA). Members Jeannie Frank, Francois Bakkes and Kevin Knox visit the KCAW studio to talk about the day’s offerings and how SEAKAA promotes aviation safety and protects the interests of aviators in Southeast Alaska.

3rd annual Panhandle Fly-In
The Naa Kahidi Dancers performed at the Sheet'ka Kwaan Naa Kahidi on Saturday to celebrate the group's 20th anniversary. The Naa Kahidi Dancers were founded in 1994 by Chuck Miller, who began dancing when he was three years old, in the Sitka Native Education Program. "When I dance, when I put on my regalia, it feels like my ancestors are running through my veins," he said. more
