You Think You Can Dance, Sitka?

Jeff Budd, outgoing executive director of the Greater Sitka Arts Council, provides details on an upcoming event called Sitkans Can Dance. A mashup of popular TV shows like “Dancing With The Stars” and “You Think You Can Dance?,” local residents will be the stars of this dancing extravaganza. Registration is now open for couples ready to do a mandatory waltz and a ballroom dance of their choice, such as the foxtrot or the mambo, during a show scheduled for Nov. 22 at the Performing Arts Center. Those looking to participate but lack a dance partner may ask to be matched up. Call Jeff Budd at 747-4821 for more information.
