Sitka Community Theater is holding auditions for “The Flattering Word,” a 1920s one-act about an actor, his friend, and her husband – a curmudgeonly pastor with a distaste for theater. The play is about the importance of theater and self-expression. Taylor Ciambra is directing and Shannon Haugland is producing.
Auditions are January 25th at 4:00pm and January 29th at 6:00pm, Rasmussen Student Center. There are two roles for men and three for women. Taylor Ciambra can be reached with questions at 203-815-4126.
Haugland also discussed Broadway Night, a full evening of show tunes performed by local singers. Friday, January 31st at Odess Theater in Allen Hall at 6:30pm. Tickets are available at Old Harbor Books and Daily Sitka Sentinel.
