Roger Schmidt of the Sitka Fine Arts Camp and Sarah Martinson, music teacher at Sitka High School, announce the lineup for this year’s Sitka Jazz Festival, which runs this Thursday, March 4th through Saturday, March 6th at the Sitka Performing Arts Center.
Performances will feature the vocalist Barbara Morrison, trumpet player Bijon Watson with the Clayton Hamilton Big Band, trombonist Marshall Gilkes, and saxophonist Bill Liston. Students from the All-Alaska jazz band and the Sitka School District will also perform.
