Auriella Hughes and Tom Crane organized a three-day festival devoted to the writing of Rumi, a 13th century mystic poet. “Sitka Rumi Fest” begins tomorrow (08-18-16) with a documentary film at 6:30 p.m. at the Larkspur Cafe.

The festival continues with a Turkish meal on Friday (08-19-16) at 6:30 p.m. at the Larkspur and a community poetry reading, featuring poets Coleman Barks and Lisa Starr, on Saturday (08-20-16) at 7 p.m. at Sheet’ka Kwaan Naa Kahidi. Tickets are available at the door and at Old Harbor Books.
