Fortress cubs fly to new home back east

Three brown bear cubs captured this summer in Sitka after their mother disappeared are bound for a new home on the East Coast. Officials with Sitka’s Fortress of the Bear loaded the cubs on a cargo flight to Anchorage this morning (Tue 10-6-09), where they were transferred to a Fedex plane and flown to Newark, New Jersey.
