Sitka’s proposed state-funded capital projects escaped the governor’s veto pen — every last one. Among the communities top projects are:

$7-million for supplemental diesel generators
$5.7-million for an expansion of Kettleson Library, and
$4.25-million for the replacement of ANB Harbor.

KCAW’s listening communities also will get many items on their wish lists:

$500,000 for a new seaplane float and dock in Elfin Cove
$240,000 for building maintenance and water and sewer improvements in Pelican
$1.5-million for improvements to Front Road in Angoon
$250,000 for a helicopter pad, a Head Start playground, and school upgrades in Angoon
$4.6 million for water and sewer upgrades in Kake, and about $500,000 for other equipment and school improvements there
1.8 million for a fence around the Yakutat airport
1.2 million for a renewable energy project, also in Yakutat, and
$300,000 for the purchase of land for a new firehall, and for streetlights, in Tenakee.
