Bioblitz to catalog area species

Bioblitz co-organizer Scott Harris calls it the "natural history event of the year" in Sitka. Volunteers are going to spread out in a 7-mile radius, with the goal of counting every species of everything they possibly can in 24 hours. You know, no big deal. Submersible finds seine boat tangled in own net

The Evening Star, a 50-foot seiner, capsized while fishing in the waters of Slocum Arm on Aug. 2. It originally came to rest with its stern about 10 feet below the surface, but later slipped and is now in nearly 400 feet of water.
