Challenger takes lead in House 34 race

After absentee ballot counting today (Monday 11-19-12), Democratic challenger Jonathan Kreiss-Tomkins has pulled ahead by 28 votes in the race to represent House District 34 in the Alaska Legislature. Kreiss-Tomkins, from Sitka, was in a dead heat with Haines Republican incumbent Bill Thomas over the weekend, after two questioned ballots from Port Alexander were counted on Friday, and evened-up the race.
