The US Coast Guard’s Mike Morris talks about a free life jacket class he will be instructing at the Blatchley Middle School swimming pool. The in-water class will be Tuesday, June 27 at 6 pm, and aims to thoroughly teach Sitkans about life jackets and how to use them correctly. This is the second class in the series, and is open to anyone interested. Walk-ins are welcome!
“A lot of people have life jackets, but when you go to the store they just don’t have a pool for you to get in and try it on,” Morris said.
