Sitka police arrested assembly member Aaron Bean for disorderly conduct early Wednesday morning. The arrest occurred after a caller reported hearing a fight in progress at 200 Lincoln Street around 3:45 a.m. 

Officers responded and made contact with two men. They arrived on the scene and saw Bean and another man, who was unconscious on the ground.

They called medics who transported the unconscious man to Southeast Alaska Regional Health Consortium. The officers then made contact with Bean, who was aggressive. They arrested Bean for disorderly conduct. There was alcohol involved in the incident.

After being released on bail, Bean was charged with assault in the 4th degree, a Class A misdemeanor and disorderly conduct with a challenge to fight, a Class B misdemeanor.
