Murphyao: On maps, Alaska and Nunavut

Amanda Murphyao, one of the Sitka Fellows, is working on a dissertation about Alaska and Nunavut, the northernmost territory in Canada. Nunavut was added to Canadian maps 40 years after Alaska was added to U.S. maps as a state. Murphyao's work examines how those events played out.
