A familiar carol, with a Southeast twist

At the lighting of the tree on the Sheldon Jackson campus, students from the Sitka Fine Arts Camp After School Carol Choir performed "The Twelve Days of Christmas" -- but with a Southeast Alaska twist: twelve raindrops falling, eleven boats a-floating, ten fish a-leaping, nine Russian dancers, eight deer a-prancing, sevens swans a-swimming, six eagles flying, five humpback whales, four totem poles, three brown bears, two XtraTufs...and one what? Where’s Waldholz? KCAW reporter search is over!

When Ed Ronco left KCAW's newsroom at the end of September, one of the first people we sought out to temporarily fill that gap was Rachel Waldholz, our 2012 summer intern: "I wasn't sure if I could hack it in the winter!" Mt. Edgecumbe wrestlers Moses Jackson (Jr-Kwethluk), Daniel Alexi (Sr-Mt. Village), and Trevor Creed (Sr-Kotzebue) discuss their team's championship performance at the Region V Wrestling tournament over the weekend. Mt.
