New task force to spend a year discussing Sitka’s tourism challenges
The first task of the Sitka Tourism Task Force fell to the assembly: Choosing only nine of the 16 applicants to serve on the year-long panel. The assembly easily filled industry seats, but looked for applicants with broad constituencies to serve in the general business and community seats.
