Sitka's Mt. Edgecumbe created a stir last year when an earthquake "swarm" was detected below it, suggesting that magma was moving. Things have been quieter recently, but AVO geologists are keeping an eye on it. There will be a series of programs this weekend in Sitka to update the public on the status of the volcano.
