City creates citizens’ taskforce
Mayor Mim McConnell was joined by City Administrator Mark Gorman to invite Sitkans to participate in a citizens' taskforce (CT) on city services, revenues, and fees. The Assembly directed city staff to set up the task force at the last meeting. According to McConnell and Gorman, the 7-member focus group will include a Chair and Vice Chair and will meet for six months. The group will be tasked with determining Sitka's core services and how to fund those services into the future.
