A new approach to forest management will be tested nearby Sitka next year. The Forest Service plans to follow up successful watershed restoration efforts on Chichagof and Prince of Wales Island with a series of projects on Kruzof Island, a popular recreation area, wildlife habitat, and productive forest, literally on Sitka’s doorstep.
