As summer approaches, Sitka is coming alive. The Tongass is abuzz with birds and insects. Flowers are blooming, and the forest floor is blanketed with green. Sitka Trail Works is gearing up for a full summer season of hiking trips. After thirteen years as the City's Parks and Recreation Manager, Lynne Brandon will assume a new role as Executive Director of Sitka Trail Works next month. She will be taking over for longtime director Deborah Lyons.
