Even in new building, Pacific High learns outside walls

Sitka’s alternative high school has moved into a brand-new building, but the program the school has created doesn’t really depend on the right place to succeed. Pacific High co-principal Phil Burdick told the Sitka Chamber of Commerce this week (Wed 1-8-14) that the remodeled space was actually the product of the school’s core mission to give students ownership of their education -- a ten-year long homework assignment that has finally been turned in.
