Departing Sitka, Flight 67 weathers lightning strike
An Alaska Airlines jet was struck by lightning shortly after leaving Sitka Tuesday evening (11-4-14), but continued on to a safe landing in Juneau. Passengers reported hearing a loud sound similar to a gunshot and felt some minor turbulence.
