Sitka teens fined nearly $11,000 for illegal shooting of two brown bears
Defendants Peter Wesley Holst and Evan Bae Barkhoefer pleaded guilty to seven misdemeanor counts (Holst) and five violations (Barkhoefer) for their roles in illegally shooting two brown bears on the Nelson Logging Road last fall, and then dumping the carcasses.
