Juneau Symphony to feature Sitka soloist
Kyle Pickett, music director of the Juneau Symphony, discusses his orchestra’s tour to Sitka this weekend (7:30 PM Sun Apr 1 at the Sitka Performing Arts Center, tickets $22/$17/$10 at Old Harbor Books). The 60-musician ensemble will perform pieces by Brahms, Marquez, and Grondahl Trombone Concerto featuring Sitka High senior George Jones. The Juneau Youth Symphony will perform at 4 PM.
