<p>From February 13 &#8211; February 15, 2015, music director Sarah Martensen brought students from Sitka High School to the <a href="http://www.nafme.org/" target="_blank">NAfME</a> (National Association for Music Education) Biennial Northwest Division Conference in Spokane, Washington. According to the one of the students, Misha Bekeris, the conference was an opportunity for accelerated music growth over one weekend with new teachers and players.</p>
<p>The three students who made auditions, Misha Bekeris (percussion), Kaysia Whitmill (trumpet)<em>, </em>Mackenzie Whitson (bass trombone), performed with honor groups from around the Northwest.</p>
