A proposal to amend Sitka’s charter to allow funds dedicated to the former community hospital to be spent on new athletic facilities opened to mixed reviews, when the Sitka Assembly met this week (6-24-25). Sitka officials welcome a ‘Brilliant’ inaugural port call

Royal Carribean's Brilliance of the Seas was formally welcomed to Sitka on Tuesday (5-2-23) by Deputy Mayor Kevin Mosher and Tribal representative Yeílsú Harry Lysons. With a capacity of only 2,400 passengers and 800 crew, the Brilliance is considered a mid-size cruise ship in the current market. Read More
