Former Sitka Mayor Marko Dapcevich will not appeal his lawsuit against the City of Sitka over the procurement of a new dock at the Gary Paxton Industrial Park. In exchange, the city has dropped its claim against Dapcevich for legal fees.
A superior court judge has ruled against former Sitka mayor Marko Dapcevich, who was suing the city over the construction of a dock, and who wanted to hold the city’s administrator and current mayor financially responsible.
A public interest lawsuit played out in Sitka last week for a case involving a dock and a disagreement over the municipal charter. Former Mayor Marko Dapcevich filed suit against the City of Sitka for what he considers a violation of the competitive bid process.
