Sitka dinner serves up $45,800 for ‘Recall Dunleavy’ campaign
Barely 24-hours after Alaska Gov. Mike Dunleavy visited Sitka, local residents raised over $45,000 to remove him from office. Although the timing of the Sitka event was coincidental, it was so successful that the recall organizers plan to use it as a model in other communities.
