Mining company samples historic claims near Pelican
A subsidiary of Coeur Mining -- which runs the Kensington Mine near Juneau -- has invested about $200,000 for a small team of geologists in Pelican. They've been sampling soils on and around historic mining claims on Chichagof Island.
