Poetry is at the top of Ann Staley’s list

Forty years ago, poet Ann Staley bought her first piece of artwork in Ashland, Oregon. It was a watercolor painting of a tree by Norm Campbell. Staley and Campbell have maintained a long friendship ever since. Over the next several weeks, the pair will collaborate on art and poetry in a new residency program developed by Sitka’s Island Institute.
