Sitka School Board told that cuts are coming, without public pressure on Legislature to raise student funding
The Sitka School Board has been informed that a $1,000 increase in per-student funding from the state would erase the district's nearly $3 million deficit next year. Short of that, the district may be forced to cut staff and programs.
