Wolves win regional baseball tourney, set sights on state

The Sitka Wolves won the Region V Baseball Title this weekend, and earned a berth as the number 1 seed from Southeast in the state tournament. Sitka defeated Juneau 7 - 2 Saturday evening (5-31-14) on Moller Field to claim the championship. Fred Elliot pitched a complete game; Wolves’ batters posted 10 hits in all. Finals bound

The Sitka Wolves baseball team moved into the finals of the Region V Tournament with a 6-2 win over the Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears Friday evening (5-30-14). Senior Erikson Fish pitched a complete game for the Wolves, who will face either Juneau or Petersburg in the finals Saturday afternoon (5-31-14) at 3 PM. Read More
