Helm: Story meets voice at Island Institute summer session
Sally Helm, the Story Lab Coordinator with the Island Institute, came into the studio to talk about their upcoming summer session, "Story and Voice." Story Lab unleashes creative energy of kids
Sally Helm, a Sitka Service Fellow with the Island Institute, describes Story Lab, a new literary program for kids ages 7-19. There are four parts to the program: Afterschool, with weekly sessions; Saturday workshops; In-school, where Helm visits classrooms; and a publishing component. Story Lab is happening now.
