Stanford Students Study Sustainability in Sitka

Twelve students from Stanford's Sophomore College Course, in cooperation with the Sitka Sound Science Center, spent three weeks in Sitka, exploring the human component of environmental sustainability. Program Instructor Aaron Strong says the students focused on four aspects of sustainability: forests, fisheries, tourism, and energy. Students Elizabeth Hillstrom and Christopher Yeh say the experience was life-changing.
