Being a teenager in small-town, rural Alaska means getting creative about finding things to do and meeting people. Over the past year, a group of Sitka teens has taken matters into their own hands: they’re building a teen center.
Taking care of the homeless is an ongoing problem, and it’s not limited to adults. There is also a large, and less visible, population of homeless kids. A Sitka family shares about their experience with a program that places homeless youth in community homes. It's the only one in Alaska, and one of very few in the nation.
